Expectations are very powerful. Why?

Because expectations involve focus.

Your mind focuses on the object of your expectation. This creates mental images or pictures in your mind. These mental images are like the blueprint from which you will build your life (consciously or unconsciously).

This means that if you are not getting the results you want in a certain area of your life, there IS something you can do. What? Change the blueprint. How?

First – stop and take notice:

What are you focusing on during the day? Where does your mind stray when you have a few idle moments? This will probably give you some clues as to what you may be expecting even unconsciously.

* When your mind is full of fear you will expect negative results.
* When your mind is full of faith you will expect positive results.

Second – recognize that YOU decide what goes into your mind.
It all depends on what you are feeding it. It is very difficult, even impossible to have your mind full of faith when you have been feeding your it with all of the negative news, emotions and chatter around you.

Here are some things you can start doing to turn your mind to the positive.

  • Stay away from all negative news. (Close you ears to it).
  • Feed your mind with positive and challenging affirmations (free affirmations ebook here), quotes, books, recordings every day.
  • Speak only positive words.
  • Write down in your journal some keys that stand out to you from what you read and listen to. Make some notes about how you can apply these things to your life
  • Train your mind to think on the positive. (You do that by taking action on the things you learn each day).
  • Download these free recordings (audio and video) right now and get started with training your mind to think on the positive.
  • Pick up a copy of this book The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hanson and Les Hewitt (I am reading it right now, and it will certainly help you) – you can get it from this link (aff), from your local bookstore or even your local library.

JillTake action today and your tomorrow can only get better!
