There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other. Douglas Everett

Today I was reading through some quotes that I have on my hard drive and this one really stood out. It has a such a powerful message.

Today’s question is:
Which one of the three are you? (Of course I am asking myself this same question.)

1. Are you the one who lives in a dream world?
Those who live in a dream world have a unique vocabulary. They are always using words like “I wish”, “some day when my ship comes in, or when I win the lottery” or even “if I had a million dollars I would …..”.

No, I know you don’t belong in this category, but I bet you know a few who do.

2. Perhaps you are the one who faces reality?
These folk are heard to say things like: “Well I just have to make the most of where I am now. There is a recession going on right now, so I am lucky to have a job.”

“I don’t see how I can do that right now”.

These folk look at their lives with their physical eyes and ignore their dreams. They don’t have the courage or faith to believe they can move beyond their present state, so they never really try (take action).

No, I don’t think you belong in that category either – right?

3. I think you are the one who takes your dream and turns it into reality.
I am sure that you have a dream, and you are determined to achieve your dreams and goals. And I am sure you will – I believe in you! Now that may not mean too much that I believe in you, but here is something MUCH greater!

God believes in you. There is a great verse in the Bible which you might already know about. It is found in Jeremiah 29:11.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

So just how can you take your dream and turn it into reality?

Faith - believe in the dreams that God has given you. Believe that you CAN achieve them.

Persistence – this is a part of faith. It is the active part. There is a verse in the New Testament of the Bible that says that faith without works is dead.

Real faith is demonstrated with persistent action. When you really believe you can achieve your dreams you will be doing something about it. You will be learning, planning, working and doing every day. And you will never give up until you achieve your goals.

Seek to give value to the lives of as many people as you can. – There is a very strong principle or law in this world that was created by God. It is the law of sowing and reaping.

When you focus on sowing seeds your harvest time WILL come.
