Fact: Did you know that the average person has 85,000 negative thoughts every hour?

Yes you are surrounded by negative impressions and negative impacts everywhere you turn. Unless you are alert to this, these impressions go into your mind to influence your life. Is this what you really want?

Here is another fact:
It takes at least 17 positive thoughts to overcome ONE negative thoughts. This means that for EVERY negative thought that you allow to enter your mind, it will take 17 positive (opposite) thoughts to annihilate the negative one.

So here is a question:
Do you REALLY want all of those negative impressions influencing your life?

How to combat the negative?
It is time to deliberately take hold of your life and declare war on the negative influences that are coming against you.

This means war.

How do you fight and win this war?

Your war arms are your words.

Your strategy is to SPEAK out those words, so that your brain can hear your positive words.

Your actions take possession of the prize you won in the war.

Remember, if you don’t take possession of something,
it can never be yours, even if you did win it!

Affirmations are the speaking out of positive statements and declarations. These are the tools that will help you to win the war against the negative influences that surround you.

So now the question is not, why use affirmations, but rather:

Are YOU using affirmations as a part of your battle plan every day?

Yesterday we considered two facts:

You and I were born as champions.
You and I were born into a war zone.

Today let us consider two more facts:

Champions are warriors – and

Warriors are champions.

The photo I chose today is one of a warrior – a special kind of warrior. I grew up with these warriors. (Actually we only saw them dressed like this in concerts and on special occasions such as when the Queen visited N.Z. When my mother was a child she would have seen them dressed this way more often).

The reason the Maori Warriors did the Haka dance before their battles is that they were preparing themselves. The facial expressions were designed to intimidate the enemy.

Champions never allow themselves to be intimidated by the enemy. No, they are prepared and ready to do the intimidating!

The Haka itself is also designed to declare war and victory.

Champions will always declare war on the enemy
(the negative influences in life) — AND
Champions will always be declaring victory!

Have you declared war on a negative area of your life today?
You and I have to fight to overcome the negative influences in our lives.

You WILL win the war as long as:

You decide every day to surround yourself with as many positive influences as you can. This means you will make the right choices as to what you allow to enter your life through the gateways of your five senses.

You will also be in control of your thoughts

You continue to believe in yourself. (See the article “Do You Believe In Yourself”).

You continue to look for ways to add value to other people’s lives. There is a universal law of sowing and reaping in this world. What you sow you WILL reap.

Some harvests may take longer than others (if you have any experience with gardening you know that). But harvest time DOES come.

You never give up. It does not matter what biography you read of anyone who has achieved great things in this life, you will always find one common characteristic. They never gave up!

You focus on your dreams and goals every day. Persistence is a great key!

You are a warrior – a champion and a winner! Are you declaring the victory in your life today!

Life is a journey, but it can also be a war. There is an enemy in this world seeking to steal yours and my destiny, success and joys in life.

One of the biggest weapons the enemy uses in this war is the fear bomb.

I am sure you have been hit with this bomb at some time or another during your journey through life. It often comes when a sudden “what if” thought hits your mind. You know those “what if this happens” or “what if this does not work out”, “what will happen if …. ” etc.

And if you entertain such thoughts for one second – WHAM! The fear bomb hits and you find you find yourself starting to fear the worst.

So how can you avoid this bomb?

It all depends on your daily focus!

Yes, once again I find myself thinking about this word focus. It seems I can’t get away from it this week. Today it is in the context of habitual focus.

Habitual focus?

Yes, the question for today is: What do you (and I) focus on habitually?

Are you forming the habit of always focusing on looking for solutions?

Do you seek to always focus on and expect miracles?

When difficulties arise, do you see them as opportunities to receive yet another miracle? Do you REALLY expect to see that miracle?

or

Do you focus on the problems and start expecting (and fearing) the worst?

I am training my thoughts to focus on solutions and miracles, and to always look for the good in everything.

 How about you?
