Note: This photo was deliberately blurred to remind you what happens when you are out of focus.

The scene just does not look right, correct?

But what about your life focus? Is it like this photo? Or is it nice and sharp?

Let’s take a moment to consider what would happen in your life and mine if our life vision is not clear and focused:

1. If you are not focused on where you are going in life, how can you set appropriate goals and strategies to get there? An interesting question no?

Goals and strategies are very important, BUT before you create the road map you need to define your destination.

Where are you going in life?

What is <a href = "http://www.LifeStyleFreedomClub.com/cmd.php?Clk=3322119" title = "Find Your Why" target =blank">your why? (link leads to a CD). (Your life passion).

2. If you are not clear on your why (your life purpose), how do you know which direction to walk in? This is why so many people are simply going around in circles. They have no vision.

I am sure you know what dog paddling is right? It is simply beating the water to stay afloat, but going nowhere.

All the energy is used up in simply keeping your head above water.

How many people do you know who are living life in this way? But this is NOT for you! You are a champion!

Do make sure you take some time to make sure you have a clear vision of your WHY in life. (This book and tape is a GREAT practical resource that will help you to discover your why).

3. How will you recognize your life purpose when you reach it, if you don’t know what it looks like?

When a photo is blurred it is often hard to even see what it is right? If your life purpose and passion is not clear (your why), do you think you would recognize it when you reach it?

Today’s questions:

Is your why (your life purpose and passion) crystal clear in your mind?

Are you focused on creating strategies and plans to fulfill your why?

Are you moving forward each and every day towards achieving your life goals? (You can only successfully do that when you have a clear vision of your why.

Action:

Take some time to make sure your why is crystal clear in your mind.

Visualize your goals and dreams both in your mind AND in your surroundings (dream or vision board).

Take a step forward EVERY day and you WILL reach your dreams!

A favorite quote from a great man of God, Oral Roberts:

You can’t go under for going over!

Is your vision sharp today? Or do you need to focus your lens?

Yesterday we considered three negative influences that everyone must contend with during their lives. They were: negative words, fear and lack of forgiveness. If you and I do not confront those influences and win over them, our dreams will be hindered.

There are at least two more major confrontations that you will have to deal with throughout your life. Again, you need to confront them and conquer them to clear a smoother path for you to pursue your dreams and goals in life.

These two are: lack of vision and negative emotional attachments. Today we will take a look at:

Lack Of Vision

Jim Rohn used to say:

If you don’t know where you are going, how do you know you have arrived when you get there?

Dr Mike Murdock is quoted as saying:

If you do not have a vision, your mind will replay your past.

In chapter 29:18, in the greatest book of Wisdom that exists (Proverbs in the Bible) we find these words:

Where there is no vision the people perish.

You might be thinking: “If I have dreams of course I have a vision”.

Not necessarily. How many of your dreams are simply “wishful thinking”, yet perhaps you are claiming these day dreams as being a part of the passion and vision for your life.

A true vision is turned into goals and a daily plan of action (strategy). In fact these are the steps to turn any dream (that you REALLY want to reach) into a reality.

Yes YOU can make your dreams come true. How?

Turn your dreams into goals. Break your goals down into short term goals and long term goals.

Create a plan of action.

Act every day. Make sure that every day you take at least one step that follows your plan of action.

Follow this plan and your dreams WILL come true!

Do you have a vision? Or are your dreams simply “day dreams” or “wishful thinking”?

Take acion today! Turn your dreams into goals and a plan of action!

This is the second article in a series: “Are You Free To Follow Your Dreams”.

If you read the article yesterday you will remember that we were looking at the two biggest negative enemies in your life that are capable of destroying your dreams if you allow them to.

Remember these enemies were:
**Lack of forgiveness.
**Fear.

When either of these two enemies are hidden somewhere in your mind they will cloud your vision whenever you face a challenge.

When your vision starts to dim you begin to doubt yourself, your abilities and perhaps even your worthiness of success. If you allow these doubting thoughts to continue you may even lose sight of your dreams completely.

Then your mind will be quick to take you back to other difficult times of your life to show you why you cannot succeed, You failed here, you failed there .. how can you expect this attempt to be different is what your mind will tell you.

Remember the quote I shared from Dr Mike Murdock?
When you don’t have a vision, your mind will replay your past.

What happened? Your vision dimmed, even went out of sight in the pressure and strain of the present challenge and your mind was quick to fill in the gap by replaying your past.

How to prevent this “meltdown” from happening in your life?

Deal with these two big enemies. But how?

1. Forgive, forgive, forgive.
A great part of forgiveness is release. You simply decide to forgive and release the person (or persons) and release them from your life. Now I don’t mean to over simplify something that is often so hard to do, but the reality is this is all that it takes to forgive – a decision and an action that follows through on the decision.

Forgiveness also means you will release the situation and the people involved. That will get rid of quite a burden from your life.

2. Write down the vision you have for your life (your why).
Make a list of your dreams. Illustration them with pictures on words (yes create a vision board).

3 Focus on your vision and your goals every day.
Keep them in front of you, in pictures, in words, in audio and in video.

4. Faith will begin to grow in your heart
When you begin to focus on the positive things such as your vision and your goals, faith will begin to grow in your heart.

Your life vision (or purpose) was planted in your heart from the day you were born. This seed needs to be nurtured and watered by faith for it to grow and become the healthy plant or tree it was destined to be,

5. Faith comes by hearing and hearing …
There is another very interesting verse in the Bible that is found in Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

The foundation of a strong faith in life is a having a living relationship with Jesus Christ (no – not religion, relationship). To find this relationship, simply reach out to God who is already reaching out to you. (John 1:!2).

Reading the Bible (the Gospel of Mark is a good place to start) is a great way to build your faith.

As well as the Bible, read at least one non fiction book a month.

Make sure you spend time writing, dreaming and visualizing your dreams and your focus and faith will strengthen.

Focus is a very active verb. It takes discipline and determination to be able to focus well. Disciplined, determined action will support you in developing the habits in your life that you need to push you forward to the success you are seeking.

In Philippians 3:13 in the Bible, the apostle Paul made this declaration:
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

If you follow these 5 tips you will have a strong advantage over these two big enemies.

Keep your eyes on your vision, don’t let anything or anyone (not even an enemy within) steal your dream.
