			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src = "http://kiwitx.com/missinglink.jpg" alt = "The missing link" class = "alignleft"/>A lot of interest have been stirred up in recent years concerning learning to create positive mindsets and related topics. </p>
<p>Much of what is being taught is good but not all of it. </p>
<p>Why not all of it? There is too much being taught with a very important step missing. In fact this step is so important that without it, the rest of the teaching will not work. </p>
<p>We are being told to focus on the positive to overcome the negative, and this is good. I teach that too, BUT not by itself. By itself it is not the whole story. </p>
<p>You will probably find it hard if not impossible to see a change in your life and circumstances by simply speaking and thinking positive words. </p>
<p><strong>This is only the beginning.</strong><br />
There is another important ingredient which I call the missing link. </p>
<p>What is this missing link? ACTION. </p>
<p><strong>You cannot change your life or your circumstances without action. </strong><br />
Yes, you start with changing your thoughts, but you cannot stop there. Those who do stop there end up very very frustrated and are usually the ones who say that changing your thoughts to change your life does not work. They are half right. But only half right!</p>
<p>All too many folk are looking for a magic wand that will sweep them away to the land of success. Such a thing does not exist. </p>
<div class = "topiccent">It takes discipline, determination and dedication to achieve your dreams. </div>
<p><strong>Everything you and I do, we do in our minds first. </strong><br />
So yes, the FIRST step is to change your mind. Change your focus and belief system.<br />
Then take action, and this is where many fall down. They don&#8217;t take action. </p>
<p><strong>What stops you from taking action:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Are you waiting for inspiration? Think about this:<br />

</li>

<li>Are you confident enough in yourself?
</li>
<li>Are you passionate about your goals?. Are you dreaming?- allow yourself to dream, and dream big.
</li>
<li>Just plain laziness &#8211; some folk spend their lives waiting for the magic formula (not you though).</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src = "http://jillrapley.com/images/runaway.jpg" alt ="Running away" class = "alignleft"/>Did you know our human minds are very capable of creating a way to escape a situation when life forces us to face things we really don&#8217;t want to. </p>
<p><strong>What is an escape mechanism?</strong><br />
When you don&#8217;t really want to face a challenge or certain situation in life, your subconscious mind will find a way to avoid it. </p>
<p>This will happen especially if you have allowed fear to take over. Depending on the strength of your resistance to the situation, your subconscious may go to very drastic measures to avoid the challenge or responsibility. </p>
<p><strong>So the plan of escape</strong> that your subconscious mind invented will be stored away for future use also. Now this plan has become an escape mechanism, ready to spring out and defend you by allowing you to escape from unpleasant situations in the future.</p>
<p><strong>How will this escape mechanism &#8220;defend&#8221; you?</strong><br />
This plan will not only to be used to avoid this present situation, but also your mind will draw upon it to escape from future circumstances that are similar to the present one.<br />
<strong><br />
The subconscious mind</strong> is very powerful and is even capable of allowing sickness into your life if it means your being able to escape from an unpleasant task. This is the escape mechanism, and can be very powerful, and as you can see it can also be dangerous. Of course this plan will only provide temporary &#8220;relief&#8221; and a pseudo peace. </p>
<p><strong>How can you avoid the dangerous of any hidden subconscious schemes?</strong></p>
<p style  ="text-align:center">The key motivation that will drive your mind to find an escape mechanism is <strong>fear.</strong> </p>
<p>We were created to walk with God in faith and all the fruits that go with faith (love, joy peace).<br />
<strong><br />
Fear will corner you and your mind will look for a way of escape.</strong><br />
When you allow fear to take over your life, your mind has to find a way back to peace and it will, even though it may be a pseudo peace and in reality only a temporary relief.</p>
<p><strong>For example:</strong> it may allow you to become sick so you can escape the responsibility of a situation. Of course this is only a temporary &#8220;solution&#8221;.</p>
<p>There is an interesting verse found in Proverbs 23:7 that says: &#8220;for as he thinks in his heart, so is he&#8221; </p>
<p>The word &#8220;thinks&#8221; in this verse is translated from the Hebrew word &#8220;gatekeeper&#8221;. </p>
<div class = "topicback">Your mind is the gatekeeper for all of your body and your life. <br/><br/>This means that it is your mind that decides what will touch your body and your life! This is a VERY powerful truth.</div>
<p><strong>>></strong> You have control over your mind.<br />
<strong>>></strong> You decide what to think. </p>
<p>You can avoid allowing your mind to stray over into the negative field of life. How?</p>
<p>You decide what to think &#8211; and what you think decides how you live!</p>
<p>Are you consciously deciding what to think today? </p>

<p>You make that choice by deciding what thoughts to think and what thoughts you will allow to stay in your mind.</p>

<p>Every part of your being is related and affects the other parts. In the book of the Psalms 139:14 we find King David declaring: </p>
<blockquote><p>I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. </p></blockquote>
<p>Science now knows that your thoughts play a major role in your health and well-being. In fact your thoughts send a chemical from your brain into other parts of the body. </p>
<ul>
<li>Negative thoughts send out toxic chemicals. </li>
<li>Negative thoughts and words also drive you to negative actions. </li>
<li>Negative actions form negative habits. </li>
<li>Negative habits will cause you to fail. </li>
</ul>
<p>Ok, now that we have the negative out of the way, <strong>let&#8217;s look at the effects of positive words:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Positive thoughts and words send out healthy chemicals to your body. </li>
<li>Positive thoughts and words inspire and motivate you to positive actions. </li>
<li>Positive actions performed regularly create positive habits. </li>
<li>Positive habits lead you to the success in life you are seeking.  </li>
</ul>
