If you were asked to give just one main secret to the success of a winner, what would your answer be?

You might actually have more than one answer to this question.

Indeed there are several that would definitely be qualities that all winners have.

Things like:

A winner has a mindset that is focused on his goals and dreams. (Absolutely true)

A winner is someone who is always focused on conquering. (Absolutely)

A winner always focuses on solutions instead of problems. A winner sees problems as an opportunity for another victory. (Oh yes!)

There are all great descriptions of a winner right?

A couple of days ago I was scanning one of my lists in my twitter feed. The list in question has the title: Motivational. There I spotted an interesting comment made by Aimee Pilz from Texas.

The comment said:

The safe answer may not be the answer that drastically changes your life.

This is quite a statement no? It takes a winner to look for and follow the “not so safe” answer does it not?

Winners are always stepping out into new territory. Rarely if ever do they take the easy path in a solution. Why?

Because the challenging path will lead to new victories and new heights. In short, the challenging path will lead to growth.

My conclusion today is that one of the strongest characteristics of a winner is that they are always stepping out of their comfort zone into new territory. What do you think?

Consequently their lives are constantly changing (for the better) because they dare to step out and conquer.

Of course the three characteristics listed above (and others) are also an integral part of their lives. Without these qualities they would not have the courage to seek the challenges right?

What do you think?

Are you a winner? Are you always quick to step out of your comfort zone? (Or perhaps you may be a little slow, but you do it anyway).

Remember:
The safe answer may not be the answer that drastically changes your life. What does that say to you today?

We talk a lot about freedom, yet we all have a different idea or definition of what freedom really is right?

Your idea of freedom may be:

More time for your family.

No alarms in the morning.

No financial worries.

Being able to take vacations whenever you want to.

No stress in your life.

I want to be as free as a bird

I am sure you could add many more items to this list.

But today’s question is:
Are you going after your ideals of freedom? Or are they simply day dreams?

Many folk spend their lives simply dreaming of the “what ifs”.

Others spend their days going after their dreams and those are the achievers. These are the folk who ARE able to enjoy their ideals of freedom (plus many more benefits of a lifestyle of freedom).

Are you an achiever? Or just a dreamer?

Freedom Is A Choice:
I am sure you are an achiever right? Freedom comes to those who go after it, just as all good things in this life come to those who go after them.

Are you ready to go after your freedom?
I have accepted a challenge to follow a 210 plan of affirmations. John Di Lemme has thrown down the gauntlet and many have picked it up!

I have. Will you?

Here is the challenge: 210 Day Challenge of affirmations.

What actually is the challenge?
Repeat one affirmation every day (accumulative – i.e. each day you add one more).

Are you ready to follow this plan and strengthen your mindset?

It can only lead to more freedom in your life as you strengthen your belief system!

Today’s wisdom nugget deals with how you and I can control stress in our lives. This one also came from the book that I have just finished reading (Getting Well Again).

What is this one BIG key that will enable you to control stress in your life?

You decide how you INTERPRET
the meaning of everything
that happens in your life.

You cannot control everything that happens to you, but you CAN control how you interpret what happens to you.

It is not the event that reaches your emotions and affects your body. It is how you interpret the event that touches your emotions.

Here is an example quoted from the above mentioned book:

The loss of a job may mean:

A defeat or sign of failure

A challenge

A chance to start out fresh

A sign that life is unfair

Beliefs that will motivate perspectives above:

Perceived opportunities to get other jobs

The degree to which the job was a symbol of personal worth.

Beliefs about being in charge of one’s life.

Their ability to create a new positive situation.

To sum this up:

You create the meaning of events.

You determine the significance of these events.

You will tend to determine this significance based on your mindset (which can also be called your library of preconceived ideas, judgments and decisions made in the past).

Here is a challenge for today.
If you find yourself under a lot of stress, stop and ask yourself these questions:

How am I interpreting these events?

What would REALLY happen if I gave less significance to these circumstances?

Are there some things that I am taking too much to heart?

Ask yourself these three questions, and answer them honestly.

Did you find that your answers reveal you are adding stress to your life. What can you do to change this?
