On Sept 6th, 1955, Baseball Player Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrig’s iron man record by playing in his 2,131 straight game.
That is quite a record! Of course if you follow Baseball this will mean a lot more to you than if you don’t.
However the challenge I received from this today was not really about Baseball (since I don’t play). It is about breaking records and not necessarily someone else’s record.
The best challenge to follow is one you set for yourself.
Set yourself challenges that will take you closer to YOUR goals and dreams.
When was the last time you actually broke your own record?
Perhaps you were able read one more book a month, lose that extra weight, run an extra mile.
Today’s note is a short one aimed at challenging you to focus on your dreams and goals and to press towards them every day.
In order to achieve all of your dreams you will find yourself needing to step out of your comfort zone many times.
So set yourself new challenges that will help you to press forward. Then focus on meeting those challenges and breaking your records.
This is my challenge to you (and to myself) today!
