Have you ever spent a day or part of a day doing something or many things of no real consequence only to ask yourself at the end of the day: What DID I actually achieve today?

Then another similar day happens where once again you come to the end of the day with nothing really achieved. Your list of things to do is still in tact with nothing crossed off.

Your day flew by and you have nothing to show for it. Then as this cycle repeats itself in your life (and it will, if you don’t stop it), you find that your days flew by and there is still nothing to show for them.

Anne Dillard is quoted as saying:

How we spend our days, is of course how we spend our lives.

They may have been ACTIVE days, but the real question is: Were they productive days? And the answer is? No.

Here’s a shocking reality! Those days have gone forever!

Unless ….

Unless what? Unless you take this experience, learn from it and make a decision to change.

Of course you don’t stop with the decision. The next step is action!

Action Steps
You have contemplated the fact that days are becoming weeks and weeks months and you still have not achieved the things you dream about right?

Now take a clean sheet of paper, or a new page in your journal and write down your life purpose, your why.

In what way do you really want to make a difference in this world?
This might be something like building a heritage for your children, giving a child in a third world country the opportunity to study and fulfill his or her dreams in life or perhaps starting a foundation to motivate children and/or teens to go after their dreams. You know what you have in your heart.

Now write a list of the things that you dream about achieving in the next year or two.

Now take a look at what you have written down and ask yourself:

If I continue to allow my days to waste away, when will I achieve these dreams and goals?

Your answer will startle you and I trust inspire you to ACTION.

What action?

Create some goals based on what you have written down.

Look at your goals and write down some things that you could do to start moving towards them.

Create an action plan from the things you have already written down.

Set yourself a deadline for each step of your action plan. Be realistic.

Start following your plan today and continue to take at least one step every day.

Never again will you end a day with the question: What did I actually achieve today?

Instead you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you took ONE STEP towards achieving your dreams and your life purpose.

Consider the words of Henry Ford

“It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste.”

The question is: Which group are you are part of?
If you take action on these steps today, you have joined the group of people who are getting ahead – and I am confident that this is YOU.

Champions train every day to build their strength and increase and sharpen their skills.

Life champions (that’s you) also need to train every day and for the same reasons.

You do not have to win a gold, silver or bronze medal to be a life champion.

Why?
You were born a champion. You won the first race of your life against millions.

That is why you are here on this earth now.

You were born with the potential to win at everything that you find in your heart to do. That is the nature of a champion.

Notice, I said you were born with the POTENTIAL. You need to develop that potential.

During the first years of your life, there is a good chance that you were surrounded by an extremely high percentage of negative attitudes, words and atmospheres. How do I know that? Statistics show us this.

It is not until you discover your potential and realize that you need to retrain your brain, and then take action and DO IT, that your potential begins to reveal itself in your life.

Yes you were destined to be a LIFE Champion.

Discover Your Champion Spirit

First find your life purpose (your why)

Prepare your goals

Plan your action

Apply persistence, diligence and discipline to follow your action plan every day.

Train every day to build your strength and sharpen your skills.

Act every day according to your strategic plans.

Stay consistent and you will reach your dreams and goals.

Here is a great way to start on your training program.

I started on a 210 affirmation Challenge 71 days ago.

I am noticing results in my life as I follow this challenge.

Is it easy? No training program is easy. The real question is: Is it effective? YES!

I challenge you to get involved today!
(Click on this link and then look for the menu at the top that says “Affirmation Challenge”)

You are not too late to start, your 210 days can begin TODAY!

On Sept 6th, 1955, Baseball Player Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrig’s iron man record by playing in his 2,131 straight game.

That is quite a record! Of course if you follow Baseball this will mean a lot more to you than if you don’t.

However the challenge I received from this today was not really about Baseball (since I don’t play). It is about breaking records and not necessarily someone else’s record.

The best challenge to follow is one you set for yourself.

Set yourself challenges that will take you closer to YOUR goals and dreams.

Did you move one step closer to achieving your dream today?

When was the last time you actually broke your own record?
Perhaps you were able read one more book a month, lose that extra weight, run an extra mile.

The key is that every day you are learning, growing and pressing towards your dreams and goals.

Today’s note is a short one aimed at challenging you to focus on your dreams and goals and to press towards them every day.

In order to achieve all of your dreams you will find yourself needing to step out of your comfort zone many times.

So set yourself new challenges that will help you to press forward. Then focus on meeting those challenges and breaking your records.

This is my challenge to you (and to myself) today!
