January 20th, 1961 John F Kennedy was sworn in as the 35th President of the U.S.A.
In 1981 President Reagan was sworn in as the 40th President of the U.S.A.
Probably the most remembered line of President Kennedy’s inauguration speech is: “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country”.
He then turned to those who’s citizenship belongs to other countries and exclaimed:
My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.
Here is a challenge for you today:
- What is the main thing that you are pursuing in life?
- Are you searching for happiness?
- Or are you focused on making a difference in the lives of others?
In other words:
Are you expecting this world to do something for you, or are you focused on doing all that you can for this world?
Here is a golden key to happiness:
When you are focused on making a difference in the lives of others, and bringing happiness into their lives, you cannot help but reap a great harvest of happiness into your own life.
