16 Jul 2010 My Words Are Driving My Faith

Yes I DO believe we can winThis is a quote from Day 12 of John Di Lemme’s 210 affirmation challenge.

It is not too late to start this challenge today, and I highly recommend it.

Actually the correct quote is:

I am driving my faith by my words now.

I am on Day 16 of this challenge, but you can start today.

There is no deadline to begin your 210 days. You would simply finish 209 days from today. So you have not missed out. Start today, in fact right NOW!

Are Affirmations Enough?

One thing that is striking me as I follow this challenge and it provokes a question:
Is simply affirming (repeating, declaring) something enough to change your life?

The answer is: No.

Positive words plus ACTION will change your life.

So when I declare: I am driving my faith by my words now, I am telling my brain to speak ONLY words that will build my faith.

This means that during the rest of the day I will be alert to speak faith words and avoid every conversation and comment that could be detrimental to my faith.

So what then is an affirmation? King David made many strong affirmations in the Bible. One of the outstanding ones is found in Psalm 103:2

“Bless the Lord oh my soul, and forget not all of His benefits”.

David made this affirmation in a time of great stress in his life (and if you remember David had a lot of those times in his lifetime). This was much more than an affirmation, it was a command to himself.

He was commanding his brain: You are going to bless the Lord whether you feel like it or not.

This is what an affirmation really is. So when I say: “I am driving my faith by my words now” I am telling my brain to send me positive instructions to put into action today! Instructions that will lead me to fulfill my why!

28 Jun 2010 Is Your Mind Overloaded?

Information overloadToday I was scanning through my inbox and came across a link to a video that talks about how to deal with an overloaded brain.

That got my attention.

I took some time out this morning to watch this video where Kris gives a quick outline of how you can unload your brain with a simple strategy.

The strategy will allow you to literally reboot your brain so that it will be clear to run with a greater efficiency, just like a rebooted computer.

Yes, our brains are rather like a computer. There is only so much space that is allocated to those scattered thoughts that sometimes drive you crazy.

You know, those moments when your mind seems to be running everywhere, yet going nowhere! This allocated space is rather like the RAM memory of a computer. Too many unorganized thoughts running through your mind may cause a crash.

Much of the information in the “RAM” memory has not yet gone to the hard drive (long term memory).
Hence in the event of a crash, the information is lost.

We have talked a lot about focus on this blog. Focus is definitely an important key to success in every and any area of life.

This recommended video will show you some very practical keys that will help you to create a strategy that will keep you focused and productive.

Take some time out today to watch Kris’s movie today (as well as the one that you will find linked below Kris’s video).

They are free WELL worth your time.

You will need to set aside about 90 minutes to get the very most out of these videos.
Make sure you have a clean sheet of paper and a pen that writes because you WILL want to take notes.

Here is the link to Kris’s video (about 8 minutes).
To Do List Secrets (Don’t think that it is JUST about “To Do Lists” though – it is not! It reveals a strategy for a TOTAL “brain reboot”)

Right underneath Kris’s video is the link to the other video by John Reese who explains this system in greater depth (60 minutes but well worth watching also).

Make sure you take the time to watch both of these as soon as you can. And when you start to apply them, your life WILL change.

I have started on rebooting my brain. Are up for it?

Jill Let me know your experiences below as you move into a new and greater productive phase of your life!

P.S. Here is that link again to the first video: To Do List Secrets (You will find the link to the 2nd video there also).
