14 Jan 2011 2011 – Jan 14th Already!

How time fliesHow many times have you heard it said: My, how time flies!

Yes we are already almost halfway through the first month of 2011.

What does this mean to you?

Here is what it means to me — Life is too short to spend it:

Waiting on opportunities.
I have decided to learn to stay more focused and alert to create what comes my way into the opportunities that will lead me to fulfill my goals and dreams.

Going around in circles, because I did not learn the lesson the first time.
I have decided to learn the first time! This means being more alert and sensitive to people, things and my surroundings.

Enough is enough! The success overflow has begun in my life NOW (Quote from John Di Lemme’s 210 Affirmation Challenge.)

Wasting time with the petty things of life.
I think we have all found ourselves tripping up with petty arguments, circumstances we worried about needlessly etc. It is time to put those things aside and focus on the IMPORTANT things in life.

Here is a great decision to make:
I respect my time and I refuse to waste it – Quote from John Di Lemme’s 210 Affirmation Challenge.

The first 14 days of this year, I have spent reading more (my first book this year was Jesus, Life Coach: Learn from the Best – wonderful book!), meditating more (on the Bible, God and the seed of destiny He has placed in my heart, which is also known as my WHY), and making firm plans and decisions for the days ahead.

I am determined to make the very most of every second of this year, 2011. And no, you don’t have to wait until Dec 31st of any given year to make plans, decisions and resolutions. You can resolve (decide) to change anything in your life NOW, no matter what the date is!

EVERY day is a new day, waiting for your decisions,
your words and your actions.

JillWhat you do with TODAY will decide what you will do with this year.

20 Sep 2010 The Futility Of Worry
 |  Topic: Worry  | Tags: , , , , ,  | 2 Comments

Worried ManAre you a worrier?

We live in a world that has a negative default. This means that we are surrounded by more negative influences than we are positive influences.

Therefore there is always plenty to worry about IF you focus on the negative!

Calvin Coolidge is quoted as saying:

If you see ten troubles coming down the road, you can be sure that nine will run into the ditch before they reach you.

Isn’t this true? How many of those things you worried about actually came true? And even those that did, you have to wonder if your worry made it possible for them actually happen.

Worry is the result of wrong focus.

Here’s a question for you:
How easy is it for you to worry when you are focused on positive thoughts?

It is not possible right?
Negative and positive thoughts don’t mix. Sure it is possible to go back and forth from one to the other, but they cannot dwell together.

One thing worry DID do was send toxic chemicals into your body.
The medical profession is becoming more and more alert to the relationship between what goes on in your mind and what is happening in your body.

Overcoming worry:
Your mind is like a muscle just the same as other parts of your body.

When you do not take care of those muscles, what happens?

Here are two more questions:
Are you in good physical condition? In an emergency, how fast could you run?

Of course in an emergency you would have a little help from your adrenaline, but nevertheless you would need to be fit to sustain a long run.

In the same way your mind needs to be in good condition.

Now, how do you get your body into shape? It takes daily exercise and right diet.

How do you get your mind into shape?

1. Consistent right diet

  • This includes what you are listening to, watching and reading every day, as well as right food diet that will nourish your brain and keep it alert.
  • Watch and listen to motivational and inspirational recordings and videos every day. Read from a non fiction book every day!

2. Consistent right exercise.

  • Aerobic exercises are good for the brain.
  • Read at least 10 pages of a non fiction book every day. Make notes from what you read.
  • Meditate on words that will build your faith. For example The New Testament, Psalms or Proverbs in the Bible, the notes your made from your daily reading.
  • Determine to speak only faith building positive words. Your brain responds to your voice!

Get your mind and your brain into shape and you will not fall into the futility of worry.

JillThen you will be equipped to conquer worry and focus on positive solutions.
