I am sure that you have discovered that not everything that you plan and work towards will turn out exactly as you hoped for, especially not the first time you try. Some things may not even work out at all. But does that mean you failed?
So here is something to consider:
When things do not work out as planned how do you react?
Did you know that the real outcome of any “failure” depends 100% upon you.
A temporary setback can become a long term failure when:
- You let one or two temporary failures discourage you. Now your faith is weakened and soon you give up.
- You use the situation as an excuse to say “well I tried” and then give up completely. Your focus on reaching success was very weak.
- You allow one or two setbacks to become frustrations. You allow your emotions to take over and soon begin to think and speak negatively.
How do you and I choose to look at a situation?
It is that half empty glass – or half full glass you have heard about!
But you are a champion so I know you will turn any failure into a blessing. How?
- You see any setbacks as a challenge to press forward with more determination. You become more sure than ever that you WILL win. Now your victory will become an even greater blessing.
- You look for lessons you can learn in every setback. This can only make you a better and strong person and you will enjoy the victory even more when you achieve it.
- You do not allow the impact of any setback to stay in your emotions. This is crucial. You insist on continuing to focus on your goals and the success you desire. This can only strengthen your focus and determination. Victory will certainly be yours.
Remember Thomas Edison? How many things did he try before he finally found what would work to create the light bulb? He believed in himself and in his goals.
Remember Cecil Day? – My his testimony really was a challenge to me when I read it last week. He believed in his dream and insisted on achieving it and he succeeded despite the impossibilites.
Do you see how the outcome of any setback (or little failure) really depends on you?
Will it cause you to give up?
or
Will it cause you to become more determined to reach your success and live a life of blessings.
You decide.
